The VF-11C Thunderbolt is an improved version of the VF-11B and was the main variable fighter in 2038. The VF-11B Thunderbolt was released in early 2030 by the U.N. government to replace the old VF-4 Lightning with a better maneuverability using a forward canard wing when in fighter mode, and a better defence with a hardened shield on the forearm in battroid mode. Its only weapons include a 30 mm gun pod with an anti-mecha bayonet and a rear anti-aircraft pulse laser gun. Eventually, the Super parts were later added to improve its attack and thrust capacities in the form of two dorsal boosters, four micro-missiles launchers and two lateral boosters.

The VF-11C includes a new Super Booster and Gun Pod.
