The Variable Fighter VF-1S Low Visibility piloted by Roy Focker is a customized valkyrie in blue-grey color.
The VF-1, Variable Fighter, program was introduced in 2002 by the UN to fight against the Zentradi giant aliens. It was required for a system to incorporate aerospace fighting capability equal to the level of contemporary fighters and ground combat capability comparable to Destroid series. The ouput was a space fighter transformable into Gerwalk mode and Battroid mode. Fully operationnal for the launch of the SDF-1 Macross in 2007, the VF-1 showed its strength and performances during the Space War I.
The standard version of the Valkyrie, VF-1A, is equipped with a fixed Mauler RÖV-20 anti-aircraft laser cannon, a standard external 55 mm Howard GU-11 three-barrel gatling gun pod mounted under central fuselage in Fighter mode, in manipulator or stored on arm hard point in GERWALK and Battroid modes, four pivoting underwing hard points for twelve AMM-1 missiles, twelve MK-82 LDGB bombs, six RMS-1 large anti-ship reaction missiles or four UUM-7 micro-missile pods.
The Variable Fighter VF-1S Low Visibility piloted by Roy Focker is a customized valkyrie in blue-grey color, with four RÖV-20 laser guns and improved engines. And assigned to Commanders of Air Groups and squadron commanders, namely the aces of the squadrons.
Scale: 1/60, size in Fighter mode: 25 cm (10 inches).
